what to expect
before your spray tan.
during your spray tan.

if getting a tan for an event, book an appointment two days before the event. this gives you time to wash off, moisturize, and gives the tan time to fully develop. sunless tanning reaches its peak around days 2 or 3. if traveling, we recommend booking as close to your leave time as possible.
if you have recently had a spray tan, and have residue left on your skin, make sure to get it all off before your tan. build up will make the tan rub off very easily.
shower and exfoliate 4 to 24 hours before your appointment. (don't shower right before) this gives your pores enough time to close back up before the solution is applied to your skin. never use dove soap.
rinse time will vary between 2-8 hours depending on the desired shade outcome. we will go over this with you in person! be sure to plan your day accordingly.
don't wear any tight clothing to your appointment that can be stained by the solution.
we recommend wearing something loose, dark, and cotton. cotton is very easy on the skin, whereas some other materials are harsher, and can rub the tan off.
shave 24 hours prior to your appointment. wax and oils can stay on your skin, which acts as a barrier against the tanning solution, and can leave you looking splotchy.
don't use any moisturizer, oils, makeup or deodorants on your skin the day of your tan. ideally, you will want your skin to be completely bare for your appointment.
we will make you feel as comfortable as possible.
we will provide disposable underwear for those who wish to wear them, but feel free to wear as much or as little as you'd like.
we recommend not getting a spray tan if you have been sunburnt within the past 6-8 weeks, that is how long it takes your skin to heal after being burnt, and the tan can peel off and absorb unattractively on skin that hasn't fully healed.
